Fluted Glass

Rounded glass flutes acting as true cylindrical lenses over a fluid two-tone light field: every rib compresses and mirrors the scene across its whole width while the rims light-pipe and disperse it — every visible line is displaced light, nothing painted on.

Parameters

colors

2-5 hex colors ordered DARK to LIGHT — the backlight ramps through them, so the first owns the deep valleys and the last becomes the white-hot zones; monochrome ramps (one hue dark->pale) give the signature electric look

bg

base tone behind everything; keep it close to the darkest palette color for a cohesive lit-glass panel

bg-alpha

backdrop opacity; 1 = solid self-contained panel, 0 = transparent so the lit ribs composite over the host section and dark areas vanish

speed

global motion rate; higher = visibly drifting light and shimmer, lower = barely-breathing expensive stillness

flutes

number of glass ribs across the frame; higher = fine architectural reeding texture, lower = chunky statement ribs with big refraction jumps

flute-angle

orientation of the flutes themselves: 90 = vertical panes (default), 0 = horizontal, anything between = diagonal reeding

shape

geometry of the flute boundaries: lines = classic straight ribs, irregular = organic varied widths, wave = boundaries undulate along the flutes, zigzag = sharp chevron ribs, pattern = checkerboard tiles of perpendicular reeding

profile

distortion cross-section of each flute: lens = rounded mirrored compression (classic reeded glass), prism = crisp faceted split-image doubling, contour = soft S-curve liquid ripple, cascade = per-flute random shear strips, flat = clear panes with seams only

distortion

cylindrical lens strength across each WHOLE flute: 0 = flat clear glass, ~0.3 squeezes the scene upright inside each rib, 0.5+ crosses the rays so every flute shows a compressed mirrored slice (real reeded glass), 2 = deep kaleidoscopic streaks

highlight

brightness of the continuous specular lines along rib edges (they glow strongest in lit zones); higher = sparkling lit-glass edges, 0 = no edge lines

blur

frost level: tiny diffusion across pane centers and directional smear through the curved edges; higher = dreamier

angle

drift direction of the fluid light field behind the glass; ~15 = flowing across the flutes (signature look), 90 = vertical drift

grain

film grain intensity; higher = tactile analog texture, lower = clean digital finish (a small amount also kills gradient banding)

mouse

Cursor stir strength: the pointer displaces the fog behind the glass — a soft curl-and-push that swirls the light field around it, settling back when the pointer rests; 0 disables.
